Beige Banquet release second album "Ornamental Hermit"!
London’s Beige Banquet are Tom Brierley (vocals, guitar), Ian Crafter (drums), Joe Munsey (guitar, vocals), Danny Gillies (bass) and Blake Carlson-Joshua (percussion, synth, vocals).
The new album features their most recent singles 'Animals' and 'Ornamental Hermit', plus new focus track 'People'.
Initially formed as a solo project, their early work was characterised by drum machines and synth-driven riffs. It has now become a more ferocious and fuller, live-oriented sound with vocalists Brierley’s nihilistic and character-driven lyricism.
Speaking about the themes of the record, Brierley states that "each song follows a different character, and they each end up a fair bit darker and intense compared with previous output. The album follows the evolution of these characters, and each song is a vignette in the Ornamental Hermit’s journey".
The album was produced alongside Matt Green (Sniffany and the Nits, Joanna Gruesome) and David Forcier (CIVIC) on mixing and mastering duties.
The Vinyl is available via their own label Just Step Sideways in the UK, Rennes-based Swish Swash Records (FINDOM, Volk Soup) in Europe and Future Shock Records (The Serfs, The Drin) in the USA.
You can catch them now on a run of shows across Germany, France  and Belgium.
