CIEL sign to JAZZ LIFE, Announce 'Not In The Sun, Nor In The Dark' EP and share new single 'Baby Don't You Know' (released 6th July 2022).
Brighton’s trio CIEL are comprised of Michelle Hindriks (vocals, bass), Jorge Bela Jimenez (guitar) and Tim Spencer (drums).
They just got signed to Brighton indie label, JAZZ LIFE (Blood Red Shoes, Tigercub, Circe) and announced "Not In The Sun, Nor In The Dark" EP, set for release 7th of October.

Making huge waves in the indie circuit right now, you might have seen them back in May playing an acclaimed set on the BBC 6 Music stage at The Great Escape Festival, alongside fellow rising acts Opus Kink and Deadletter.
On top of that they already got spins on BBC Radio 1 (Jack Saunders) and BBC 6 Music (Lauren Laverne, Steve Lamacq) and were featured in leading publications like Clash, Dork, Gigwise, The Independent and Under The Radar.
Speaking ahead of their single release, frontwoman Michelle Hindriks revealed:
"'Baby Don’t You Know' is about the routine of an unbalanced relationship. I am so excited to finally release this track into the world. I think it’s the closest to a conventional pop structured song we’ve written so far and the way it was recorded really captures the moment we were at as a band. Jorge broke his wrist just a few days before going into the studio and I just switched from playing guitar to bass for the band for the first time, as we became a 3 piece. Despite the circumstances, we were really inspired and excited about our new music and recorded this song really on the spot."
