Londoner's Weird Milk are comprised of Alex Griffiths (guitar, vocals), Charlie Glover Wright (drums, vocals), Joe ‘Blue’ Moyle (keys) and Alex Guess (bass).
They now share their anthemic-fuelled “We Were Strangers” EP, which is centred around lead single 'Vienna' and gripping focus title-track 'We Were Strangers' and garnered press support from the likes of DIY, Dork, Gigwise and The Independent, plus radioplay from BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music and Radio X.
On top of that they have already played slots at leading UK festivals (Latitude, Dot To Dot, Wilderness, Standon Calling) and just finished their debut UK headline tour including a show at London’s prestigious Omeara venue.
Speaking about the EP release, the band revealed:
“The songs are self-reflective. The music is optimistic but is counter-acted with a yearning for human connection that strings the songs together. This could be in response to our presently-shared struggles but there is also a broad and ageless romance (or lack of) that we sing about. We found ourselves soothing our frustrations throughout the writing and recording process, since we were unable to continue to pursue our dreams and our goals and this was our only outlet.
Slowly but surely we are achieving the sound we want from our music. Having so much to listen to, and so easily, means your sound inspirations can be diverse. The trick is to fit it altogether”.
If you are into rousing harmonies and electrifying guitar riffs, we recommend to have a listen to 'We Were Strangers' EP, which is now available on all digital platforms.
