South London trio Ski Lift released latest single ‘Moaning Again’ 7th of May and follow it up now with the accompanying video:
This is the second track of a trilogy of singles for us to feast our ears on in the Spring of 2021.
'Moaning Again' is an upbeat indie-rock track but confronts us with the hidden nature of mental health problems. It feels like a conversation with ourselves and reminds us to acknowledge our own victories and not give into self-criticism.
“Moaning Again is an internal conversation - I wrote it during a ‘down’ period, mentally speaking - highs and lows are always relative to wherever your emotional centre of balance is”– Benji Tranter (Vocalist)
Ski Lift started life in late 2018, as the writing and recording project of Welsh-born songwriter Benji Tranter, who is joined by Ailsa Tully (bass ) and Jovis Lane (drums).
They already have received support from BBC Introducing, including Tom Robinson’s BBC6 music mixtape, Huw Stephens and Adam Walton (BBC Wales).
See them live at The George Tavern/London on the 18th of June - tickets via Dice!
