Multi-instrumentalist Jaws the Shark follows up previous single 'Loose Change' with 'Erase Myself', which will be the lead single from his forthcoming debut EP.
Opening with a guitar riff, which is fun as it is infectious, this is a blistering track. At just over 2 minutes long, it puts a smile on your face and a desire to move. The drums add a rock n roll element to the soundscape, and the lyrics release feelings of escapism:
"I just want to be left alone so I just keep on singing".
Creative mastermind Olly Bailey turned bedroom boredom into Jaws the Shark, and that boredom has been put to good use. Having received praise from publications like Dork and Gigwise, alongside spins on BBC Radio 1 (Jack Saunders) and BBC 6 Music (Shaun Keaveny, Huw Stephens), he is already making waves across the indie landscape.
With festival slots at Live at Leeds and Liverpool Sound City plus supports alongside The Wytches and Courting, Jaws the Shark will be prowling these shores near you sometime soon.
'Erase Myself' is out 24th August 2021 via Nice Swan Records and will be available on all digital platforms.
