Social Haul are lead by frontman,TRAAMS' Leith Padley, and they have released new track 'This Is All I Need' ahead of their self-titled debut album, which is set for release 11th of June, via FatCat Records.
It opens with a fabulous scuzzy guitar before launching into Padley's vocals. The energy in this track is immediate and constant throughout. Complemented by Padley's rhythmic vocals and crystal-clear pronunciation, he flows through 'This Is All I Need' in perfect harmony with the music. The song just rattles along like a runaway train and being able to hear the lyrics really makes such a difference.
“‘This Is All I Need’ is about the positives of nurturing an adaptable persona”, explains band leader Padley. “Here our protagonist recognises that others will only open up to new ideas if initially they are rewarded sympathy for their current standpoint. Is it therefore fake or even wrong to hold malleable ideals to reach out to others? At the risk of an identity crisis our protagonist finds a good vantage point by sitting on a few fences."
Produced by Daniel Fox (Girl Band), 'This Is All I Need' grabs the attention and having grabbed it, makes sure you do not look away until its done.
Listening to previous singles 'Wet Eyes' and 'The Ease' confirms the frenetic energetic music of Social Haul. These tracks will sound incredible live and that guitar really is something special as these tracks canter along.
Social Haul have already had airplay on BBC 6 Music (Steve Lamacq).
