Home Counties combine angular guitar work with furious percussion and make melodically rigid, socially charged songs that are lyrically tongue-in-cheek. The first taste of it can be found on their Debut EP “Redevelopment’”, which was released in September 2020.
They already made a name for themselves supporting the likes of Shame and Pip Blom and garnered radio support from Jack Saunders, Steve Lamacq, Tom Robinson and Matt Wilkinson plus press support from DIY Magazine, Dork Magazine, NME, Yuck, only to mention a few.
Latest single titled ‘The Home Counties‘ just dropped on 27th of October and is again a synth-heavy piece of wonkiness, produced and mixed by the band’s own guitarist Conor Kearney. It is taken from their forthcoming second EP, which will be out next February via Alcopop!.
